Top Ten Reasons Christians Should Support the Death Penalty

  1. The Teletubbies
  1. An eye for an eye and a life for a life would make the world a better place.
  1. We should kill people who kill people.
  1. Although at one point God said, “vengeance is mine,” God soon realized it was a lot of work and therefore entrusted that duty to the state and to Arnold Schwarzenegger in particular.
  1. The Christian logo is an execution device.
  1. Democrats
  1. The Ten Commandments say, “Thou shall not kill.”
  1. The Old Testament commands it. The death penalty should apply in cases of murder (Lev. 24:21), adultery (Lev. 20:10), wizardry and divination (Lev. 20:27), prostitution (Lev. 21:9), Sabbath breaking (Ex. 31:14), blasphemy (Lev. 24:16), and to those who curse their mother and father (Lev. 20:9).
  1. Christian doctrine teaches that as sinners everyone deserves the death penalty. Maybe it pleases God.
  1. Although the founder of Christianity was an innocent victim of the death penalty, the main purpose of his life was to see that people get what they deserve. He would have supported the death penalty in principle.
